INFORMAL LETTER

Dear Noa,

I'm so happy to hear that you and your dearest friends will be coming to Malaysia. It will be wonderful to finally meet you. I've been anticipating your visit for a long time already, you know?

I'm sure all of you will have a good time in Malaysia. It's a wonderful place, a real cosmopolitan nation. The weather here is warm and wet most of the time, so bring along plenty of cool summer clothes. When it rains, it can be a little chilly but I'm sure it won't be as cold as the winters in Korea.

In terms of food, you don't have to worry because you can get all kinds of food here in Malaysia, including Korean food. Since all five of you love spiey food, Malaysian food should be no problem at all. Believe me; you won't have any problems with food while you are here. In fact, a lot of foreigners put on weight while they are in Malaysia as they get to taste all types of delicious food here.

When you are in Johor, I'll take you to all the places of interest in this district. I promise you that you will have a great time. You don't have to worry about getting a tour guide I'm with you since I can always drive you around.

OPINION ESSAY: Mobile phones at school

Mobile phones at school

Nowadays more and more students bring their mobile phones to school. While I believe that students should carry mobile phones in case of an emergency, I am strongly opposed to phones being used at school, particularly in the classroom.

Firstly, many students travel to and from school without their parents. Therefore, it is important for them to have a mobile phone in case they need help or have an accident on the way to school or home.

Furthermore, parents who work may need to contact their children. For example, if a parent has to work late, the student has to be told if arrangements have been made for a relative or neighbour to look after them.

On the other hand, nothing is more disruptive during a lesson than the sound of a mobile phone ringing or playing an annoying tune. Moreover, students who send and receive text messages in class are not paying attention to the lesson.

In conclusion, I feel that students should be allowed to take mobile phones to school for use in an emergency. However, all phones  certainly be turned off during lessons.

ORAL PRESENTATION: DISCRIMINATION

This term I did my oral presentation with Xènia. We had to do a oral presentation about a social topic, and we choose the discrimination. Now, I will say, what I think of my oral presentation.

I start with the Presentation, we used a powerpoint, and I think that it was a very good power point. The power point, had very good images and all the images were relationated with the social topic, discrimination.

Referring to Body Language.  I think that it was a good social topic and we are explain so good.

As the presentation was about discrimination, the Structure. We explain the definition, the typs of discrimination and finaly we explains our conclusions and what have to do, if we want to finish with discrimination.

The Content I think that it was short, but we explains the better part of our social topic.

As for the Language, the grammar was correct.

And the Pronunciation was comprehensible I think, but I was so nervous because some times I don't find words to explain something that appeared in my mind at the moment.

In this picture we can see a very beautiful beach, I supposed that it is situated in a cold country, we don't see anybody, it is an empty and relaxing beach. In the background there are a very big rock and in its right side another rocks. And in the left side in middle of the sea, there are more smaller rocks.

As we can observe, the sky is blue and it seems a very nice day.

Respect the sea there aren't any waves and it is very quiet and very flat. Even the rocks of the background reflected perfectly to the sea. It makes a very nice picture that it provide us a sensations of calm and relax.

FAIRY TALE

Once upon a time there were three princesses that always laughed at everybody. One day from the window they saw a poor old lady, with a very bent back and the princesses started to laugh. The old woman turned round and said: "You will all go to hell and then you will stop laughing at people!". After she said that, the three princesses disappeared. The king started to look for the princesses and he said that who ever found his daughters would be able to marry them. Three brothers tried to find them so they could turn in to princes. When they were looking for them they saw a witch that said that the three princesses where prisoners in a castle.The princes went to the castle, from the castle came out a little man that said to the biggest brother to fight with him and if he lost that he would tell him where the princesses are. The brother said yes but he lost the fight, then with the medium brother the same thing happened but finally with the smallest brother won and the little man said that the three princesses were in a well that was 70 meters and prisoners of three big dragons and he gave him a sward to fight with the dragons. When they got to the well the smallest brother went down and killed the three dragons. The princesses woke up and promesed them that they would go home but with the condicion that they would stop laughing at people and for laughing at them they had to help them every time they needed help. The princesses promesed them they would and the sisters went back home. The king was very happy to see them again and he told all the village about the three brothers that saved them and that beacuse they were so breave each brother would marry one of the princesses.

MY ORAL'S PRESENTATION

"Hello everybody! I'm Tatiana Suffern and I'm 16 years old, in my oral's presentation I'm gonna talk about some important aspects in my life: family, childhood, my friends, my hobbies and my future plans.

My family:

I live in Castelló d'Empúries with my mum, Montse, and my two sisters Katia and Laura. Katia is fourteen years old and Laura is nine years old. They are the most important people in my life and a lot of times we get very angry but I love them. 

Childhood:

When I was little we lived in Miami with my mother, my father and my sister Katia, but when I was 5 years old my parents got divorced so my mum, my sister and I moved to Spain with the rest of my mum's family. And my father went to live to Argentina with his family. After that, every summer me and my sister travelled to Argentina to visit my father and the family. But the last time I saw him was four years ago when he came to Spain to visit us. After all, he calls every week and we are still keeping up contact. I don't remember so many things from Miami because I was little, but I remember some things like my school and my friends and sometimes I talk to them. 

My friends:

My friends are an important part of my life, when I need it they are always there, I spend so many free time with them and I love them. Some of they I had met in the high school last years but other friends, like Júlia and Noa, are my friends since we were very little. 

My hobbys:

I like surfing the Internet and chatting with the people, I like spend my free time with the friends, and go to parties, etc. And I also like skiing, I learned that sport when I was four years old and every year I go to some mountain and I ski with my family. 

My future:

Now I'm doing first of social Batxillerat and I would like to study the tourism career in Barcelona's university and work in a hotel or something like that, but I prefer out of Spain because I like travel and know new countries, cultures and people and also because now in Spain there's a bad economic situation.

My self evaluation: 

 I used a lot of resources: A Prezi, and a lot of pictures which helps to me to do a better presentation. 

I can say that the structure of the exposition it was the correct. The ideas were in order and correctly links. I think that the people in class, understood me because my vocabulary was easy and I talked slowly and fluid, or I hope that. 

I think that the pronunciation wasn't very good because I felt a bit nervous.

ADRIAN MOLE

In class, we read this little book: "The secret diary of Adrian Mole",  It results for me easy for read because the vocabulary was good and it is very short! It's a little boring I don't like it so much. Adrian Mole is a thirteen-year-old boy who used to live with his parents until they separate. Adrian´s mother runs away with their neighbor  Mr Lucas and his father goes away with Doreen, his secretary. Adrian is in love with his new classmate, Pandora and she is going out with Nigel. Adrian gets very nervous every time he sees her.

In the end Adrian goes out with Pandora. Adrian´s parents make up and Adrian is very happy.

It tells Adrian´s routine day by day as well as all the things that happen to him.

ME

Hello! I'm Tatiana and I am 16 years old. I live in Castelló d'Empúries since March because before living here I was living in Roses. I rather to live here because now I am near the school and all my friends and family, I think it's better. Actually, I had lived in a lot of different houses, when I was little I lived in Miami but when I had 5 years old we moved here to Spain. My father lives in Argentina and sometimes I go there to visit also all my family.
I like dance, meet my friends, go to parties, etc. Now I'm doing first Batxillerat and I'm doing the social studies because I don't like numbers and it's easier for me but I still don't know what I'm gonna study.
I have two sisters, Katia and Laura, Katia is 14 years old and she is doing 3rd ESO and Laura is 9 years old and she's doing 4rt of primary, we have a lot of arguments, every day... but I love them! I have also a pet, it's a dog and his name is Jack, he's very small and white, it's a Jack Russell Terrier.
And thats is in general an introduction to my life! :)
